Lloyds TSB Headquarters War Memorial | Back
Client: Lloyds TSB
Artist: John Neilson
Lloyds TSB was moving from its older offices to a new headquarters building designed by Nicholas Grimshaw. These offices had had a commemorative war memorial to the 1st and 2nd World War, but this could not be moved to the new building and a new memorial was required which was commissioned from letter-cutter John Neilson.
The client group included the Chairman of the Lloyds TSB group, and ex-servicemen of the company, who had to give approval at all stages of design.
