Sky-Lines
was an ARTS UK concept that created extensive collaborations
between writers, artists and 12 Cumbrian schools to research
and create new writings about Cumbrian landscapes. The writings
were then used as starting points for sculptural artworks
which incorporated various texts. The completed body of
work has been placed within the Lake District National Park
Visitor Centre, next to Lake Windermere, making it the most
extensive public art project to be sited within the National
Park Planning Area and creating a new precedent for public
art in sensitive landscapes in Cumbria.
