Writers from Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and Scotland have been involved with the project.
Linda France, Kitty Fitzgerald, Robert Forsythe, Bill Herbert, Peter Mortimer, Katrina Porteous, Penny Grennan, Ellen Phethean, Angela Locke, Jacob Polley, Alec Finlay, Alex Ferguson and Farah Begum-Baig have worked with local groups and also produced their own work.
Subjects include love potions, Roman herbs, the poetry of buried objects, industrial archaeologists, radio reception through the Tyne Tunnel, living in Byker, sheepfarming, a complete play about capitalism, tourism development and oil, love and death, place and experience, the countryside and landscape.
