Farah
Begum-Baig has been writing poetry since she was 6. She was educated
at Newcastle University and Trinity Hall, Cambridge. She was involved
in medical research and teaching at Cambridge University and contributed
to radio, TV and books. Her career has combined medical research,
complementary medicine, scientific and creative writing.
For many years she lived in a cottage on Hadrian’s Wall
with her sculptor husband; focusing on writing poetry, plays and
films. She still lives within sight of the wall, which remains
a tangible presence in her physical and mental landscape.
